Ladies, we have to talk about the extra weights we carry in every work out: our boobs! No matter what size you are, its important that they are properly supported during a work out, just like in your every day life. Not having the right sports bra for your size and the level of activity that you do can result in injury, particularly back pain and pulled muscles. Sizing is incredibly important to finding the right sports bra; follow these steps to find the right size for you:
Determine your band size by measuring your rib cage just below your breasts without a shirt. If below 33”, add 5 and round up to the nearest even number. If above 33”, add 3 and round up.
Determine your bust size by loosely measuring around the fullest part of your bust. Round the number to the nearest whole number
Subtract band size from bust size and follow the chart below to find your cup size

Your cup size partnered with your bust measurement is your ideal sports bra size. Depending on the type of exercise you do, you may want a higher impact level bra. We recommend that you treat all of Sweat Gym & Fitness’ classes as medium impact or higher. Make the most of your workout with the right bra and banish your back pain!
